The Gemenci Forest Railway is the only lowland forest railway in Hungary.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The trail follows the Danube and the Si\u00f3 riverbeds in the Gemenci forest. Trains from the P\u00f6rb\u00f6ly Ecotourism Centre and the Kesely\u0171s Inn run all year round, usually with open carriages in summer and closed, heated carriages in winter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 30-kilometre trail runs from P\u00f6rb\u00f6ly to Malomtelel\u0151 on weekdays, and to Gemenc-Dunapart station on weekends and public holidays. Trains from Kesely\u0171s to Gemenc-Dunapart run on weekends and public holidays during the summer timetable period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trip can be complemented with cruises, horse-drawn carriage rides, canoeing, cycling, hiking tours, for which a guided tour is available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
