Fishing

Baja is an aquatic city, so it has a long tradition of fishing. 

Anglers can indulge their passion as close as 50-60 metres from the town square. The waters of the Sugovica, the Blue Lake, the Danube Valley Canal, the Danube backwaters and the Danube River offer a wide range of possibilities, as fishing is possible almost anywhere with a permit. The Szeremlei Holt-Duna, which starts south-west of the city, and the fishing waters of the Danube villages along the Danube also offer an unforgettable experience.

Sugovica (Danube Kamarás)

Access from the direct centre of Baja or from Petőfi Island.
It is a tributary of the Danube, known to the people of Baja as Sugovica. Near the centre of Baja you can catch carp, pike, perch, perch, catfish, bream, bream, carp, balin, perch, dwarf bass

Lake Warali is located on the outskirts of Baja, yet close to the city centre. Picturesque surroundings, tranquillity and relaxation, a closed, cultured environment await those who visit the shores of Lake Warali.

The fishing lake is located on the northern side of the village of Csávoly, 17 km from Baja. It can be reached from the main road No 55 and from the Jánoshalmi road.
